Q. What is needed to get remote support for my computer?
A. All that is needed is an internet connection. This is the means that we connect to your computer.
Q. What if I don’t have internet access?
A. We will work with you to see if we can fix this by phone, if we can then we can then provide your remote support. If we are unable to do this then we will have to perform a site visit at your location.
Q. What can you do remotely to help me?
A. We can provide many services for you including virus scanning and removal. Spyware scanning and removal. Defrag and disk repair. Installation or removal of applications. Operating system updates and patches. Program updates. General maintenance and cleanup of your system.
Q. What about my data being sent over the internet?
A. Our remote service is completely secure and utilizes 256 bit encryption technology.
Q. How do we communicate while your on my computer?
A. Two ways, either we are in contact via the phone while we work on your computer or there will be a “Chat” window on your computer where you can type your comments and we can answer you back.
Q. Who can see my data while your using remote support?
A. The only person who can see your data is the technician who is helping you at the time.
Q. What if I am in another state or country?
A. Not a problem. As long as you have internet access.
Q. I have a Macintosh, can you still help me?
A. Yes, our remote service works with Macintosh also.
